2. Pry and remove the oil seal from the casing located at the end of the axle shaft (see illustration).
7.2. Remove the axle shaft seal by prying it with a special tool
3. Apply a layer of universal grease to the surface of the new oil seal and insert it into the socket using a hammer and a special mandrel (see illustration), a large diameter socket head or a piece of pipe. The oil seal seal must face inward and its metal surface must be visible from the housing located at the end of the axle shaft. When installed correctly, the seal surface should be flush with the axle housing surface.
7.3. Install a new axle shaft seal using a special mandrel; When installed correctly, the surface of the oil seal should be flush with the surface of the axle housing
4. Install the axle shaft (see subsection 6).
