Supply air temperature sensor (IAT) — replacement

1. Supply air temperature sensor (IAT) is a thermistor - its resistance changes depending on temperature. The PCM receives a signal whose pulse value is inversely proportional to the resistance of the sensor. Resistance varies inversely with air temperature.

Replacement

2. Disconnect the IAT sensor electrical connector (see illustration).



3. Rotate the sensor and pull it out of the intake duct.

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
