5.1 Ignition switch
a) LOCK (Lock): This is the only position in which you can remove the key from the ignition. This blocks the ignition system and transmission of your car. If the steering wheel is locked, turn it slightly to the right and left and turn the ignition to ACC (Auxiliary electricity consumers). If the steering wheel does not unlock, your vehicle needs servicing.
If the driver's door is opened while the ignition key is in the ignition switch, a gong will sound to remind you to remove the key from the ignition switch. Note: If the key appears to be stuck in the ignition switch, make sure you are using the correct key and that it is inserted into the lock all the way. Turn the key only by hand. Do not use any tools or apply too much force to turn the ignition key. If the above steps do not work, contact your dealer.
b) ACC (Auxiliary electricity consumers): In this position, you can turn on your vehicle's auxiliary electrical consumers when the engine is not running. Prolonged use of electrical equipment (for example audio systems) in accessory power mode can lead to battery discharge and problems when starting the engine. Do not leave the ignition key in the accessory power position or in the "ON" for a long time.
With) ON (Included): The key returns to the ON position after you start the engine and release the key.
d) START (Starter operation): Engine starting. After starting the engine, release the key. The ignition key will return to the ON position.
