Warning:
- Do not allow any of your passengers to ride with a seat belt that is not fastened or is incorrectly adjusted. If the driver or passengers are not wearing their seat belts at the time of an accident, they could be seriously injured or even killed. At the same time, in a similar accident, you may not get injured at all if you wear seat belts. Always wear your seat belt and ensure that your passengers also wear their seat belts, which must be properly adjusted.
- It is extremely dangerous to be in the luggage compartment, inside or outside the vehicle while driving. Cargo occupants are at much higher risk of serious or even fatal injuries in a collision. Be sure to ensure that each passenger in your vehicle is seated in a proper seat and that their seat belt is properly fastened.
Caution: Before closing the door, make sure that the seat belt strap does not protrude outward. Otherwise, it may damage the seat belt or vehicle body.
1. The seat belt information in this section is intended for adult passengers and teens and older children who are too old to use child safety seats and booster cushions. If children are not large enough to use seat belts, they should be transported in child seats appropriate for their age and weight.
