Warning:
- It is very dangerous to leave children, helpless adults, or pets in a car with the windows closed. They may suffer from too high a temperature, be injured or even die from heatstroke. Never leave children, helpless adults, or pets locked in a vehicle, especially with the windows closed, in warm or hot weather.
- It is forbidden to leave children in the car if the key is in the ignition. Children can turn on the power windows, use other vehicle controls, or even start the engine and drive away. This could result in injury or even death to children or people outside the vehicle.
- Children can be seriously injured or even killed if they are in the window opening while the glass is closing.
- If you have children in your car, be sure to use the power window lock feature to prevent children from turning them on accidentally.
Power windows
1. Power window switches located on the driver's door armrest (see illustration), allow you to control all power windows when the ignition key is in ON or ACC position (Power supply for additional electrical equipment), or when the power saving function for additional electrical equipment is turned on.

2. Each passenger door has a power window switch for that door.
3. To lower the window, press the switch. To raise the window, pull up the front of the switch.
4. If you continue to press the switch for 3 to 7 seconds after the window is fully up or down, the power window will not operate for about 15 seconds after that.
5. The power window electrical circuit is protected by an automatic circuit breaker. If the electrical circuit is overloaded, the power windows will stop operating until the electrical load is reduced to normal levels or the fault is corrected.
Express lower function
6. The power windows of the driver's and front passenger's doors may have an express down function. The windows can be partially lowered by lightly pressing the front of the switch. If you press the switch all the way down and release it, the window will go down completely. To stop the window as it rolls down, lightly press the front of the switch. To raise the window, pull up the front of the switch.
Locking power windows
7. The power window lock button allows the driver to prevent passengers from using the power windows. To disable the power window control buttons available to passengers, press the lock button. To enable the power windows, press this button again. When the passenger door power window locking function is turned on, the indicator built into the button lights up (see illustration).
