2. This feature allows you to lock and unlock your car doors from up to 9 meters away. The keyless entry system can also interface with the anti-theft alarm system (optional equipment).

Unlocking doors
4. Press button A to unlock the driver's door and turn on the interior lighting. The parking lights may flash. To unlock all doors, press this button twice within three seconds. You can also program your vehicle so that the driver's seat automatically moves to a memorized, personalized position when you press the door unlock button.
Locking the doors
5. To lock all doors, press button B. If you press this button twice within three seconds, a chime will sound to confirm the doors are locked.

6. To activate the alarm, press button C. The siren will turn on and the external lights will flash for 30 seconds. To turn it off!? siren, without waiting for automatic shutdown, press the button again or start the engine.
Remote control range
7. The operating range of the remote control should be about 9 meters. From time to time you may notice that this radius decreases. This is normal.
8. If the remote control does not work, or if you have to get closer to the vehicle than usual for it to work:
A) You may be too far from the car. Check the distance you are standing at. The range of the remote control is reduced when it rains or snows.
b) Check how well you have chosen the place in which you are standing. The signal may be blocked by other vehicles or objects. Take a few steps to the right or left.
With) The battery in your remote control may need to be replaced. See battery replacement instructions.
9. If none of these measures help, have your vehicle serviced by your dealer.
Replacing the battery
10. If KEYFOB X BATTERY LOW appears on the Driver Information Center display (The remote control battery is low X), the battery should be replaced.
11. When replacing the battery, be careful not to touch exposed electrical components. The static stress from your body transferred to these elements may damage the remote control.
To replace the battery:
12. Using a thin, non-metallic object, separate the top of the transmitter housing from the bottom (see illustrations).

13. Using a pencil or similar non-metallic object, remove the battery.
14. Replace the battery. Use CR2032 type battery.
15. Fasten the top and bottom of the remote control housing together.
16. Check the operation of the remote control.
Setting up remote controls
17. Setting up remote controls for your vehicle may be necessary if your remote control is lost or replaced. Even if you are replacing only one remote, you will have to set up all of your existing remotes at the same time. Up to four remote controls can be configured for one vehicle. Contact your dealer to purchase a new remote control and set up remote controls.
