31 Does not switch to the desired range
1. Failure of the selector switch (see chapter 7B).
2. Failure of the control unit (see chapter 7B).
3. Lack of or inappropriate type of lubricant. Change or add gear oil according to the required type (Chapter 1).
4. Excessive wear or damage to transfer case components. Removal and repair of the transfer case may be required when contacting a station of the appropriate skill level.
5. Malfunction in the electrical system of the front axle or automatic transfer case. Check Diagnostic Trouble Codes (chapter 6).
32 The transfer case makes noise in all gears
Insufficient level or type of transmission oil. Add or change oil (Chapter 1).
33 On all-wheel drive vehicles, a lower gear is knocked out or noise appears when it is engaged
1. Splitting of the fork, wear of the liners or jamming of the fork in the guide.
2. Malfunction in the electrical system of the front axle or automatic transfer case. Check Diagnostic Trouble Codes (chapter 6).
34 Transmission oil is leaking from the outlet or seeping through the output shaft seals
1. Box overfilling. Drain the required amount of oil (Chapter 1).
2. The overflow hose is clogged or kinked. Clean or replace the hose.
3. Incorrect installation or failure of the secondary shaft oil seal. Replace the seal and make sure there are no grooves or chips on the seal surface.
