Warning: The vehicles described in this manual are equipped with a passive restraint system (SRS), also known as an air spring system. Before carrying out work in the area where the elements of this system are located, you should turn off its power, since accidental deployment of the airbags can result in serious injury. (see subsection 28)
Car radio
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. When performing the procedure on a Chevrolet vehicle, it is necessary to remove the lower central insulation of the instrument panel (see chapter 11).
3. If the procedure is performed on an Oldsmobile car, it is necessary to remove the selector lever trim (see chapter 11).
4. On all models, the optional dashboard trim plate must be removed (see chapter 11).
5. Unscrew the mounting screws, pull the car radio out of the instrument panel, disconnect the connectors and remove it from the car (see illustration).

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Speakers
7. To replace the speaker located in the door, you must remove the trim panel. To replace the front tweeter located in the instrument panel, it is necessary to remove the upper trim of the instrument panel (see chapter 11).
8. Remove the screws that secure the speaker (see illustration). Pull out the speaker, disconnect the connector, and remove the speaker from the vehicle.
