1. After any procedure in which the hydraulic lines were disconnected, it is necessary to bleed the system to remove air from it and bring the steering to normal operation.
2. With the wheels in a straight position, check the power steering fluid level and, if necessary, add it so that the level reaches the mark «Cold» on the dipstick.
3. Start the engine and leave it at high idle speed. Recheck the fluid level and, if necessary, raise it to the mark «Cold» on the dipstick.
4. Bleed the system by turning the wheels from side to side several times. Do not turn the wheels from one extreme position to another. This will force air out of the system. Check the level periodically and add fluid to the reservoir if necessary.
5. After removing air from the system, install the wheels in a straight direction. After a few minutes, turn off the engine. Recheck the fluid level.
6. During the test run, check that the steering is functioning normally and that there is no abnormal noise.
7. Make sure the fluid level has reached the mark «Hot» on the dipstick when the engine warms up to normal operating temperature. Add fluid if necessary (see _ chapter 1).
