Checking and replacing the gearbox mounting

1. Insert a large screwdriver or pry bar into the hole between the gearbox bracket and frame and try to push the gearbox up slightly.

2. The gearbox bracket must not noticeably move away from the frame.

3. To replace the mounting, unscrew the nuts securing the cushion to the cross member and the nuts securing the insulator to the gearbox (see illustrations).

4. Slightly raise the gearbox with a jack and remove the cushion, paying attention (for correct installation) on which holes are used in this case.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Make sure the bolts and nuts are well tightened each time.
