Removing the Engine — Precautions

If you decide to remove the engine for overhaul or other repair work, then you must first do the following. It is extremely important to choose a suitable place to work - in addition to the workspace, there must be a place where the car will stand. And, as noted in the next section, a vehicle lift is required to perform the job safely.

Pre-cleaning the engine and associated parts will make it easier to remove the engine and keep the tools clean and tidy. In addition, you will need a lift for the car.

When removing and installing the engine, always be extremely careful. Otherwise, serious injury may result. By planning everything in advance, spending time and making the necessary efforts, you can successfully cope with this rather difficult job.
