- A) Battery wires in places of their contact with its terminals. Terminals must be clean and tight.
- b) Check the density of the electrolyte in the battery. If it is below the required value, recharge the battery.
- V) Check the external wires of the generator and their contacts. They must be in good technical condition.
- G) Check the technical condition of the drive belt and its degree of tension (see chapter 1).
- d) Check up tightness of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of the generator.
- e) Turn on the engine, listen to the generator (excessive noise levels may be due to a loose drive belt pulley, loose alternator mounting bolts, worn or dirty bearings, or faulty diode rectifier or alternator stator).
2. Turning off the engine, measure the voltage on the battery with a voltmeter. It should be approximately 12 V.
3. Start the engine and measure the battery voltage again. It should lie in the range of 14-15 V.
