Vehicle identification number
An identification number (VIN) located on the front panel under the lower left corner of the windshield (see illustration). It consists of seventeen characters containing information about the manufacturer, vehicle type, equipment, release date and body number.

Vehicle identification plate
On the plate are: identification number (VIN), type and modification of the body, equipment, color code and other information related to this vehicle. When ordering spare parts, it is necessary to indicate these data in order to accurately identify the vehicle and select the appropriate spare parts.

Engine code
This code is stamped on the lower left side of the engine, above the starter (see illustration). In 3.8 liter engines, this code is also on the right side of the block, behind the cooling system pump.
Identification number location on 3.1L V6 engine: A - engine code, B - identification number
Automatic transmission number
On a 3T40 automatic transmission, the identification number of the box and the vehicle number are stamped on the top at the back of the box.
Location of identification numbers on the 3T40 gearbox: A - vehicle identification number, B - gearbox identification number
Emission Control System Data Plate
The emission control system data plate is affixed to the left front suspension strut support. When checking the operation of the system components, you should be guided by the data indicated on the plate.
