Description and verification of the central lock

The central lock actuates the electric drives installed in each door. The system consists of switches, actuators and wires. Since the system is quite complex, repairs should be carried out in a workshop. However, the vehicle owner is able to perform simple electrical and vacuum checks to correct minor faults. These operations include:

• A) Check fuses and/or system circuit breaker.
• b) Checking the integrity of the wires, the reliability of the connections of the switches and checking the serviceability of the latter.
• V) Removing door panels and checking drive connectors; their integrity and reliability of connections are checked. You also need to check the linkages (if they exist) for defects and reliability. Check the integrity and reliability of the connections of the wires of the electric drives. The electric drive is checked by briefly applying voltage from the battery. A distinct click indicates normal solenoid operation.
