Withdrawal
1. Removing the gas spring is shown in illustrations 17.1a-c.
Installation
2. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
17.1a. Open the tailgate all the way up and unscrew the gas spring mount | 
17.1b. Support the tailgate and press the lower end of the spring out of the ball stud |
17.1c. Using the Tox wrench, unscrew the screw securing the gas spring to the door frame, and remove the gas spring
