Intake manifold — check

1. Remove and discard gasket (514) intake manifold.



2. Remove the absolute air pressure sensor (714).

3. Remove the solenoid valve for cleaning the fuel vapor accumulator and the fuel manifold together with the injectors.

4. Remove the throttle body and gasket.

5. Wash the intake manifold with solvent.

6. Dry the intake manifold with compressed air.

7. Check the condition of sealing surfaces, mounting bolt threads, tube and hose fittings.

8. Check the warping of the inlet manifold flange:

A) Lay the measuring prism on the flange. The prism must rest on at least two inlet flanges.



b) Measure the gap between the flange and the prism. If the flange warpage is greater than 3mm per 200mm length, replace the manifold.
