Rocker arms and push rods — washing and checking

Attention: parts that can be used again must be marked so that they can be installed in the old place.

1. Wash parts with solvent.

2. Dry parts with compressed air.



3. Check the condition of the rocker arm bearings (2), evaluate the degree of mobility of the rocker for fixing or roughness.

4. Check the condition of the boom seat surfaces (3) and rocker toe (1). Surfaces must be smooth and free of burrs or wear.

5. Check up a condition of surfaces of support of a bar of a pusher. Surfaces must be smooth and free of burrs or wear.

6. Check rods for kinks. To do this, roll the bar on a flat surface.

7. Check the boom oil passage for cleanliness.

8. Check up a condition of surfaces of a support of a yoke.
