Attention:
- when washing the cylinder head in an oven, do not allow the temperature to rise above 200°C.
- when cleaning, do not scratch the walls of the combustion chamber.
1. Clean the following surfaces:
- use a wire brush to remove carbon deposits from the walls of the combustion chambers.
- surfaces for gaskets.
- valve stems and plates.
- threads of the holes for the installation of bolts. You can use a tap of the appropriate size.
2. Inspect the cylinder head, look for:
- cracks in the exhaust channels and intervalve jumpers.
- cracks in the partition walls of the cooling jacket.
- deep scratches and other damage to surfaces for the installation of gaskets.
- signs of damaged threaded holes.
3. Check the warping of the mating plane of the cylinder head, see the specification.
4. Using an elastomer, check the stiffness of the valve springs.
