Withdrawal
Early models
1. Raise the vehicle and slide the safety struts under the frame.
2. Disconnect the connector (1) purge valve.
3. Disconnect the quick connector (1) valve tubes.
4. Release the valve wires from the support clip.
5. Press the latch (2) valve fasteners.
6. Slide the valve off the bracket, remove the valve.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Later models
1. Raise the vehicle and slide the safety struts under the frame.
2. Disconnect the connector (1) fuel vapor accumulator purge valve.
Series 1500 | 
Series 2500 |
3. Disconnect the tube (1) purge valve from the fuel vapor accumulator.
4. (Series 1500) Disconnect the connector (3) fuel filler pipe from the purge valve.
(Series 2500) Disconnect the fuel vapor accumulator purge tube from the valve.
5. Release the latch (1) fastening the purge valve to the bracket.

6. Remove the purge valve.
