1. Remove ignition coils.
2. Turn out spark plugs.
3. Raise the vehicle and place the safety struts under the frame.
4. Remove the nuts securing the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold flange.
5. Lower the car.

Installation
Attention:
- Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts as recommended. Incorrect installation of the exhaust manifold can lead to leaks in the exhaust tract, which in turn will lead to incorrect engine control and reduced OBD II on-board diagnostic performance.
- The threads of the exhaust manifold mounting bolt holes in the cylinder head must be clean, free of old locking adhesive. Do not apply locking adhesive to the first three threads of the bolt.
1. Apply locking adhesive in a strip of approximately 5 mm to the threads of the exhaust manifold mounting bolts.
2. Install a NEW exhaust manifold gasket and exhaust manifold to the cylinder head.
3. Install and tighten the mounting bolts. Bolts tighten from the center to the periphery. Tightening torque: 1st pass 15 Nm; 2nd pass 20 Nm.
4. Using a flathead screwdriver or chisel, bend the gasket tab at the rear along the edge of the cylinder head.
5. Raise the car.
6. Check for the presence of an insulator on the catalytic converter.
7. Install the catalytic converter and tighten the fastening nuts. Tightening torque 50 Nm.
8. Lower the car.
9. Install spark plugs.
10. Install ignition coils.
