Caution: To avoid burns, do not remove the radiator or expansion tank cap while the engine is hot.
1. Remove the expansion tank cap.
2. Check the expansion tank cap, see above.
3. Wash a seat of a cover of a broad tank.
4. Install the cooling system tester in the filler neck of the expansion tank. Pressurize the system (close to but not higher than the bonnet valve opening pressure rating).

5. The pressure in the system should remain constant for approximately two minutes. Estimate the rate of pressure drop.
6. If necessary, repair any leaks found.
