Withdrawal
1. Completely drain the cooling system.
2. Raise the car and move the safety stands under the frame.
3. (LC9/L76/L92 engines and 1500 series LMG/LY5/LY6 engines) Loosen the oil pan guard bolts (if installed).
(2500 series LMG/LY5/LY6 engines) unscrew the two front bolts securing the oil pan guard, loosen the two rear bolts and remove the guard.
4. On models L76 and LY6 (6.0 l), follow the steps below. For other models, go to step 5.
- A) Remove the bolt (1) oil cooler hose bracket. Tightening torque 25 Nm.
- b) Turn away bolts (2) oil cooler hose adapter. Tightening torque 12 Nm.
- V) Remove adapter and gasket, discard gasket.
- G) Set the adapter and hoses aside.
5. Disconnect the heater wiring connector.

Attention: when removing the heater, do not damage the seat.
6. Remove the heater from the engine block. Tightening torque 50 Nm.
7. Clean all heater surfaces.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before installing, apply sealant to the threads of the heater.
