1. The choice to control between the right or left mirror is made by setting the switch (2) to the relevant provisions:
Switch translation to the right - right mirror; moving the switch to the left - left mirror. Further adjustment of the mirror position is carried out by pressing the corresponding sector of the switch (1).
After setting the mirror to the desired position, set the switch (1) to the middle position.
2. (Cadillac Escalade). On some models, an automatic folding mirror system is installed. Folding mirrors is done by pressing the left or right side of the switch (1), when it is in the middle position.
3. (Chevrolet Tahoe). On some models retractable side mirrors are installed. These mirrors provide a better view to the rear when towing a trailer. On non-powered models, pull the mirror housing away from the vehicle to extend the mirror. On models with electric drive, to extend the mirrors is done by pressing the left side of the switch (1), when it is in the middle position.
4. When the automatic transmission selector is moved to the position "R" (reversing) side mirrors automatically change the angle of the mirror elements, which makes it easier to park the car. To change the angle of inclination of the mirror elements when reversing, set the automatic transmission selector to the position "R" and adjust the mirrors (see above).
Auto dimming interior rearview mirror
Some models are equipped with an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror system that reduces the glare from the reflected headlights of vehicles behind you.
Note: On some models, the side mirrors also dim when the system is active.
1. Check that the auto-dimming interior rearview mirror indicator on the interior mirror panel is illuminated. If the indicator is off, press and hold the button "ON/OFF" over six seconds. After turning on the indicator, the mirror will automatically dim depending on the light to reduce the glare of the headlights of cars behind you at night.
Note: Mirrors may take longer to dim in cold weather than in warm weather.
The system sensor is located on the back of the mirror. Do not install foreign objects on the interior mirror, and do not cover the sensor with them. The location of the sensor is shown in the figure.
If the mirror dimming system works too late, then check the sensitivity of the sensor.
2. To turn off the auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, press the button "ON/OFF" more than six seconds, and the indicator on the mirror will turn off.
