Compass (driving direction)

The compass shows the direction in which the vehicle is moving when the ignition key is in the "ON" or "ACC". After a short press of the button "ON/OFF" on the interior rearview mirror panel, the top right corner of the mirror will display a thermometer reading and one of the following driving directions: "N" - north, "NE" - northeast, "E" - East, "SE" - southeast, "S" - south, "SW" - southwest, "W" - west or "NW" - northwest.

Note: Do not install a roof rack, ski carrier, antenna, etc. that are attached to the body with magnets, as this will affect the operation of the compass.

Note: The compass may give incorrect heading readings if the vehicle is located in a tunnel, parallel to or under a railway line, above a subway tunnel, near transformer substations, in a city center (densely built area), during steep ascents and descents.
