2. Remove the reservoir cap of the power steering system. As a rule, the following image is applied to the cover:
Note: Before removing the cover, clean the cover itself and the reservoir to prevent dirt from getting inside the reservoir.
3. Wipe the dipstick with a clean cloth or tissue and reinstall the dipstick cap.
4. Remove the dipstick again and check the power steering fluid level.
On a cold engine, the fluid level should be near the mark "FULL COLD". If necessary, add working fluid to the mark "FULL COLD".
Fluid type GM Power Steering Fluid, GM specification #89021184 or equivalent 89021186
5. If necessary, replace the working fluid. After performing the procedure for replacing the working fluid, it may be necessary to bleed the system (see chapter "Steering").
Note: when the engine is running, the level of the working fluid should decrease by no more than 5 mm. With a significant change, it is necessary to bleed the air from the power steering hydraulic system, i.e. perform system flush (see chapter "Steering").
