Withdrawal
Caution: Read the warnings in chapter "Passive safety system".
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disable the passive safety system.
3. Remove the knee brace.
4. Remove the steering column covers.
5. Insert the ignition key into the lock and turn it to the RUN position.
6. Insert a hexagon into the hole in the upper part of the lock cylinder body, press the hexagon on the cylinder lock in the body.
7. Remove the lock cylinder from the body.
8. Disconnect the horn wire from the lock cylinder body "key in the lock".
9. Press a special fork on the ignition lock latches in the lock cylinder housing.
10. Pull the ignition switch out of the lock cylinder housing.
11. Disconnect the ignition switch wiring connector.
Installation
Attention: the gears of the ignition switch and the lock cylinder housing must be in the correct position. Improper gear engagement will result in the engine not starting or the battery being drained.
1. Check gear position (1) ignition switch (2). If the gear is not in the position shown in the illustration, turn the gear to the correct position.
2. Using a screwdriver, turn the ignition cylinder housing gear counterclockwise until the gear reaches its end position.
Attention: in order to ensure that the gear of the lock cylinder body reaches the extreme position when the gear is rotated, it is necessary to press and hold the link of the parking lock solenoid.
3. Connect the ignition switch wiring connector.
4. Insert the ignition lock into the lock cylinder body until the latches snap into place (2) in slots (1).
5. Using a screwdriver, turn the lock cylinder body gear clockwise to the START position. Release the gear. Under the action of the spring, the lock will move to the RUN position.
6. Correctly orient the lock cylinder and install it in the body.
7. Connect the horn wire to the lock cylinder body "key in the lock".
8. Establish casings of a steering column.
9. Install the knee brace.
10. Turn on the passive safety system.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
