Withdrawal
1. Raise the vehicle and slide the safety struts under the frame.
Note: Do not disconnect the ball joints with a wedge, otherwise the boot of the joint may be damaged. Use a special puller.
2. Loosen the nut (2) ball joint (3) tie rod (6).
3. Using a puller, separate the tie rod ball joint from the steering knuckle.
Note: Do not reinstall the ball joint nut.
4. Loosen handpiece locknut (4) tie rod (6), remove the tip.
6. Check up steering draft on presence of deformation and a condition of a carving.
7. Clean the ball joint seat on the steering knuckle.
Installation
1. Lubricate the tie rod threads with chassis grease.
2. Install the tip (4) tension (6).
3. Get a hairpin (3) ball joint to steering knuckle (1).
4. Install and tighten the NEW nut (2) ball joint mountings.
Torque:
- 1500 series - 50 Nm.
- 2500 series - 65 Nm.
5. Adjust a convergence of forward wheels.
