Brake hose front brake Removal and installation
Withdrawal
Note: The removal and installation procedures are shown using GMT900 models as an example.
1. Raise the vehicle and place the safety stands under the frame.
2. Remove the front wheel.
3. Clear a place of connection of a brake hose to a brake tube.
4. Turn away a nut of fastening of a brake hose to a brake tube (1). Tightening torque 25 Nm.
Note: when removing and installing the hose, hold the brake pipe with a second wrench.
5. Plug open holes.
6. Remove the bolt (2) securing the brake hose bracket to the frame. Tightening torque 9 Nm.
7. Remove bracket and hose.
8. Remove the bolt (4) bracket mounting (5) to the front suspension arm. Disconnect the bracket and brake hose from the suspension arm. Tightening torque 9 Nm.
9. Remove the bolt (7, series 1500) or (8, 2500 series) fastening the brake hose to the brake caliper. Plug open holes. Tightening torque 40 Nm.
10. Remove and discard copper sealing washers. Do not reinstall washers.
11. Remove the brake hose.
Installation
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Bleed the brake system after installation.
