Parking brake cable adjuster

Before starting work on servicing the parking brake system, it is necessary to block (at the end of the unlock) parking brake cable adjuster. To carry out this work, two people will be required to work inside and outside the car.

Blocking

1. Raise the vehicle and place the safety stands under the frame.

2. Move the parking brake pedal to the highest position.

3. Pull back the front parking brake cable until the pedal drum (2) moved into a repositioning position.



4. Insert a screwdriver (1) at an angle up through the hole in the pedal block wall, through the protrusion of the pedal drum into the hole (3) at the back of the pedal block.

5. Slowly release the cable.

6. Proceed to repair the parking brake system.

Unlock

1. Move the parking brake pedal to the highest position.

2. Pull back the front parking brake cable until you can remove the locking screwdriver.

3. Remove screwdriver (1).

4. Slowly release the front parking brake cable.

5. Release the parking brake pedal.

6. Lower the car.

7. Apply and release the parking brake three times.
