Lapping brake pad and disc

The lapping of the brake pads and brake discs is essential for maximum disc brake performance. This procedure should be performed after replacing or repairing the brake disc or after replacing the brake pads.

1. Choose a road with low traffic.

2. Accelerate the car to 50 km/h.

Attention: when performing the following step, avoid overheating the brakes.

3. Apply the brakes with moderate force and wait for the vehicle to come to a complete stop. Do not allow the brakes to lock up.

4. Repeat the operations according to p.p. 2 and 3 about 20 times. Leave enough time between braking to allow the brakes to cool.
