2. Clean the friction surfaces of the brake disc with denatured alcohol or an approved brake cleaner.
3. Inspect the friction surfaces of the brake disc. Look for traces:
- severe rusting and/or pitting;
- cracks and/or burns (tint colors);
Note: Light surface rust can be removed with sandpaper, otherwise machining will be required.
4. Measure the depth of the circular scratches. Compare with data specifications.
5. If one or more of the indicated defects is found, replace the brake disc.
