1. With the ignition off and the brakes cold, apply the brakes five times or more to release the vacuum in the brake booster.
2. Install a pedal force meter on the brake pedal.
3. Measure and record the distance (1) from the brake pedal to the edge of the steering wheel, mark the measurement points.
4. Load the brake pedal with 445 N.
5. Measure and record the distance (2) from the brake pedal to the edge of the steering wheel between the marked points.
6. Release the pedal and repeat steps 4 and 5.
7. Calculate the average value of the distance (2).
8. Subtract the distance from the result (1) and get the amount of brake pedal travel. Nominal stroke 90 mm.
