Note: When adding brake fluid to the master cylinder reservoir, use only Delco Supreme 11 fluid or equivalent (DOT-3) from a clean sealed container.
Attention: before performing this bleeding procedure, you must bleed the main brake system).
1. Connect the scanner.
2. Run the engine to idle. On models without JL4 option (models without VSES) depress the brake pedal and hold it firmly. On models with option JL4 (models with VSES system) no need to press the pedal.
3. Select on the scanner the program for performing the procedure for automated pumping of the brake system.
4. Run the program and follow the instructions given by the scanner.
5. Turn off the ignition.
6. Remove the scanner.
7. If necessary, adjust the fluid level in the reservoir of the master brake cylinder.
8. Bleed the main hydraulic brake drive system.
9. With the ignition off, press the brake pedal 3-5 times to release the vacuum in the brake booster.
10. Slowly depress and release the brake pedal. Watch the effort on the brake pedal.
11. If the brake pedal "soft", repeat the bleeding procedure. If the situation persists, check the brake system for external leaks.
12. Turn on the ignition (without starting the engine) and monitor the status of the brake system indicator.
13. If the indicator is on, do not allow the car to move until the problem is eliminated.
14. To initialize the ABS operation, accelerate the vehicle to a speed above 13 km/h. Check the amount of effort on the brake pedal.
15. If the pedal "soft", repeat the bleeding procedure until you get a stable "tough" pedals.
