2. Lightly tap the flange with a soft hammer to loosen the axle shaft. Grasping the rib in the flange with pliers, turn the axle shaft in both directions and remove the axle shaft.
3 Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Align the axle shaft so that the splines of the axle shaft fit into the splined hole in the differential gear. Clean the split face of the flange and install a new gasket.
