Attention! The universal joint repair kit must match the joint that is installed on this car model.
1. Remove cardan shaft.
Cardan joints with external circlips
2. Clamp the shaft in a vise.
3. Mark the position of the forks of the hinge and remove the retaining rings (see photo).
4. Place a mandrel under the stud and press the joint cross with a vise through the tubular mandrel laid under the fork opposite this stud until the bearing comes out (see photo).
5. Remove cross bearing (see photo).
6. Check the condition of the parts. Replace damaged bearing housings and seals with parts from the cardan joint repair kit (see photo).
7. Check the bearing housings for wear and damage.
If the bearing housings in the yoke are worn out so that they turn in the hole in the shaft yoke, then replace the shaft with a new one. Check the correct location of the dust seals, the cavity of the cover should be towards the body of the cross.
8. Press the bearing housing into the yoke approximately 6 mm.
9. Lubricate the bearing needles with multipurpose grease to hold them in the housing.
10. Insert the spider into the pressed bearing housing, being careful not to dislodge the needles.
11. Glue the bearings with grease to the bearing housing of the opposite spike of the cross, resting the mandrel on the cross, press in both bearing housings, squeezing the vise jaws.
12. Using a vise, press the bearings into the fork through the mandrels. First, press in one of the bearings, then install the retaining ring, press the cross with the second bearing until it stops in the retaining ring Install the second retaining ring.
13. In the same order, replace the remaining bearings.

14. If the hinge has been previously repaired, then remove the circlips located on the inside of each bearing housing.
15. If the cross has not been repaired, then the rings should not be removed so as not to destroy them.
16. Press out the bearing housings (see above).
17. Remove the cross and clean the plug from the plastic.
18. Assemble the cross in the same order as the cross with outer rings (see above), with the only difference being that the retaining rings are installed inside the bearing housings (see photo).
19. When installing the bearing housing, press it in until the retaining ring can be inserted (see photo). If necessary, hit the fork with a hammer. In this case, the lugs of the cross under the spring force will force the retaining rings to go into place (see photo).
