Attention! 1. The collapsible cylinder is installed only on models up to 1992. Since 1993, non-separable clutch master cylinders have been installed on the vehicles in question. In the event of failure or leakage, the master cylinder cannot be repaired. On models 1993-1995 the entire assembly of the clutch hydraulic drive is changing - the main and working cylinders along with the pipelines. Bleeding of air from the hydraulic clutch on these models is carried out only in the factory.
2. The master cylinder repair kit is suppressed by the manufacturer into spare parts only on request. Therefore, it is recommended to change the clutch master cylinder as an assembly without disassembling it.
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Remove the steering column covers and the lower left tube of the air conditioner, unpin and disconnect the cylinder piston pusher at the top of the clutch pedal (see photo).
3. On models 1987-1992, disconnect the tube from the master cylinder. On models 1993-1995, remove the slave cylinder from the transaxle case. On models since 1996, with a special key, disconnect the tube from the working cylinder through the opening in the crankcase, disassembling the quick coupling.
4. On models, 1987-1992 unscrew the two nuts and remove the master cylinder.
On models 1993-1995, unscrew the two nuts and remove the brackets on which the tubes are attached to the bulkhead of the engine compartment. Remove the master cylinder along with the hose and tubes. On models since 1996, turn the master cylinder 45°clockwise and remove it from the bulkhead of the engine compartment along with the hose and tubes.
5. Fix the main cylinder on a partition of a motor compartment.
6. On models 1987-1992. Connect the line pipes to the master cylinder. If a separate master cylinder reservoir is provided, connect a hose between reservoir and cylinder. On models, 1993-1995 install the clutch slave cylinder in place and attach the line pipes to it. Attach the tubes to the bracket. On models since 1996, connect the line tubes by pressing both tubes together until they click.
7. Connect the master cylinder pusher to the clutch pedal.
8. On models prior to 1992, fill the master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid (DOT 3) and bleed the hydraulic (see below). On models 1993-1995 bleeding from the clutch hydraulic drive is carried out only at the factory, a new installed hydraulic drive unit does not require bleeding. On models since 1996, the hydraulic drive unit is also filled and bled at the factory. If the quick coupling on the slave cylinder was not damaged during assembly, and no air entered the system, then bleeding is not required, although bleeding is provided on these models if necessary.
