1. Put the car on the parking brake.
2. Turn away a bolt and remove a washer from the spherical hinge, remove the hinge and draft from a steering column (see photo).
3. Unpin and disconnect the rod from the leveling arm (see photo).
4. Unpin and remove the balance rod (see photo).
5. Clean the parts.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Replace all pins. Adjust traction.
7. Put the car on the parking brake.
8. Loosen the hinge lock bolt on the steering column.
9. Move the transmission selector lever on the column to position N (ignore the indication of the selector position indicator).
10. Move the shift lever on the transmission forward to the stop, then back to the second click.
11. While holding the rod on the ball joint, tighten the shift lever nut to the specified torque.
12. Check adjustment. The lever must move to all positions, and the engine must only start in lever positions P and N. Repeat the adjustment if necessary. If necessary, also adjust the position of the interlock switch.
13. When finished, set the shift lever position indicator to the appropriate position designation. To do this, rearrange the clamp of the indicator cable on the steering column trim.
