Front heater (all models)
1. The heater core is installed on the right side of the car under the dashboard. The air intake and heater hoses are located in the engine compartment.
2. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
3. Disconnect wiring and fan hose (see photo).
4. On parts of cars remove a glove box and the right lateral facing. On models up to 1995, disconnect the wiring connectors from the electronic unit. Turn away a bolt in the right part of the panel of devices. Move the corner of the instrument panel to create sufficient space, unscrew the screws securing the fan and remove the electric motor with impeller (see photo).
5. On models 1987-1991, the fan impeller can be removed from the shaft by unscrewing the nut (see photo).
6 Installation is carried out in reverse order.
7. On models since 1992, to remove the fan, do the following:
- A). Cut off the piece of plastic tip (about 6 mm long) at the end of the motor shaft.
- b). Press the impeller off the motor shaft with a puller.
- V). The impeller is put on the shaft under the force of the hand. After installing the impeller between. There should be a gap of about 6 mm between the fan mounting plate and the impeller.
Rear auxiliary heater (Suburban models)
8. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
9. Remove the right back facing of a cabin.
10. Disconnect the wires from the fan.
11. Turn away screws of fastening and remove the fan.
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
