Engine Overhaul — Assembly Procedure

The following order of assembly of individual components and their installation on the engine is recommended:

• Piston rings
• Crankshaft and main bearings
• Pistons with connecting rods
• Camshaft and bearings (bearings are changed in a car service)
• Piston rings
• Crankshaft and main bearings
• Pistons with connecting rods
• Oil pump and oil receiver
• Camshaft and tappets
• Cylinder heads, rocker arms and push rods
• Timing chain and sprockets
• Timing chain covers
• oil pan
• collectors
• cylinder head covers
• Flywheel (torque converter drive plate)
