Introduction
This chapter describes the checks and adjustments necessary to maintain the vehicle's performance, economy, driving safety and durability.
The procedures are detailed in the relevant chapters and this section.
Every 400 km or weekly (depending on what comes first)
Check fluid levels in the engine, washer fluid reservoir, hydraulic brake reservoir, clutch and steering reservoir, tire pressure and tire condition.
Every 5000 km or 6 months (depending on what comes first)
Perform maintenance after 400 km and the following procedures.
Checking the fluid level in the automatic transmission and in the hydraulic steering reservoir.
Change engine oil and oil filter.
Check the automatic transmission fluid level.
Check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir.
Check battery status.
Check the condition of the cooling system.
Inspect and, if necessary, replace all hoses in the engine compartment.
Inspect and, if necessary, replace the wiper blades.
Change engine oil and filter.
Lubricate the parts and components of the undercarriage.
Check the condition of the suspension and steering parts.
Check the condition of the exhaust system.
Check the oil level in the manual transmission.
Check the oil level in the gearbox.
Every 12500 km or 12 months (depending on what comes first)
Perform service after 5000 km and the following procedures.
Check the operation of the hydraulic clutch.
Rearrange the wheels.
Check the brakes.
Inspect the details of the fuel system.
Replace air filter.
Replace fuel filter.
Check the tightening torque of the throttle body bolt.
Check throttle linkage.
Check the condition of the drive belt.
Check the condition of the seat belts.
Check the starter interlock switch.
Check thermostatic air cleaner.
Every 50,000 km or 24 months (depending on what comes first)
Perform service after 12500 km and the following procedures.
Change automatic transmission fluid (**).
Change the oil in the gearbox. Check the condition of the front wheel bearings, change the grease in the bearings (*).
Change the coolant in the engine.
Check the exhaust gas recirculation system.
Replace spark plugs.
Inspect the spark plug wires, distributor cap and slider.
Check and, if necessary, set the ignition timing.
Every 100,000 km or 36 months (depending on what comes first)
Perform service after 50,000 km and the following procedures.
Change the oil in the manual transmission.
Inspect and replace, if necessary, the crankcase ventilation spool.
Check the condition of the devices
and hoses of the gasoline vapor recovery system.
Inspect the electronic vacuum valve (if provided).
(*) When operating a vehicle in difficult conditions (driving with a sight or on dusty roads, as well as in low gear at an air temperature below 0°C and with frequent one-time trips for a distance of less than 6 km) these types of work should be carried out after 5000 km or every 3 months.
(**) When driving in a hot climate (temperature above 35°C), in mountainous terrain or with a trailer, change the transmission fluid every 25,000 km.
