Folding the rear seat (2-door variant)
If your vehicle has a rear seat, it can be folded down to provide more cargo space. Before folding, make sure there is nothing under and in front of the seat.
When folding the seat, remove the head restraints first.
Press the button on top of the seat and pull the head restraint out of the guide tubes. Detach the storage bag from behind the seat. Then put the headrests there and place the headrests in the footwell under the seat.
To fold the seat, pull the handle on the bottom of the seat cushion labeled RELEASE.
When you release the seat cushion, the seat back will automatically release.
Pull the loop on the seatback forward and fold the seatback onto the seat cushion.
With the seat in the stowed position, move the seat belt buckles from the inside position to the hooks on the top side on each side so they are out of the way.
To return the seat to the passenger position, simply lift the seat back up and push it back until the latch engages.
After returning the seat to the passenger position, pull the seatback forward to make sure it is locked. Also replace the seat belts and head restraints.
Folding the rear seat (4-door variant)
If your vehicle has a 60/40 rear seat, each side can be folded down to create more cargo space.
Before folding, place the latch tongue of the center seat belt into the center armrest. Thus, the belt will be retracted when the seat is folded down and will be easily accessible to the passenger when the seat is returned to the passenger position. Also make sure there is nothing in front of and under the chair. When the seat is folded, it will lie flat on the floor.
When folding the chair, first remove the headrests as described in the previous chapters. Put the headrests in a convenient place. You will put them in the appropriate place after folding the seat.
To fold the seat, pull up on the tab at the back of the seat cushion.
Then lift up the seat cushion and fold it forward.
After folding the cushion all the way forward, pull the seat back and fold it down until it lies flat.
Then slide the head restraints down into the holes behind the seat cushion. Make sure the headrest posts fit into the holes completely.
To return the seat to the passenger position, first slide the headrests out of the seat cushion.
Raise the seat back and push it back all the way, then fold the cushion back into place.
After returning the seat to the passenger position, return the headrests to their place, make sure that the backrest and cushion are securely fixed in place.
Remove the seat belt buckles from the armrest so that they are accessible for passenger use.
Folding the second seat (Suburban variant)
The second 60/40 seat in the Suburban variant unfolds in the same way as in the 4-door.
To create a cargo area, detach the panels from the second seat back by pushing them back against the latch to cover the rear seat legroom.
To return the seat to the passenger position, lift the cargo floor panels and fasten them back to the back of the second seat.
