Ignition switch drum switch — replacement

Models 1984-1994

1. Remove the steering wheel, remove the steering column lock and the reminder horn switch (see above).

2. Remove the screw securing the ignition switch drum switch, turn the key to the On position and remove the drum switch from the steering column (see photo).



3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Models since 1995

4. Remove the steering wheel.

5. Remove the steering column cover.

6. Turn the ignition key to the On position, insert a 3/16" hex wrench (4.9 mm) into the hole at the top of the lug on the lock body, press the key to release the pin, and turn the ignition key to the Run position. Take out the drum switch (see photo).



7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
