Master cylinder
The main cylinder is mounted in the engine compartment on a vacuum brake booster, above the main cylinder is a large fluid reservoir. The master cylinder has separate primary and secondary chambers for the front and rear hydraulic circuits.
Hydraulic booster
The hydraulic vacuum brake booster provides an increase in the force on the brake pedal. The power vacuum uses intake manifold vacuum, or pressure from the power steering pump. The unit is mounted on the bulkhead of the engine compartment, right behind the master cylinder.
