Loosen the front wheel nuts, remove the front wheel hub caps and loosen the hub adjusting nuts.
Set the transmission and transfer case levers to the neutral position.
Jack up the car and remove the front wheels.
Remove the crankcase protection and engine mudguards.
Drain the oil from the front axle gear case.
Turn away nuts of bolts of fastening of flanges of the cardan shaft and a reducer of the forward bridge. Turning the front propeller shaft, disconnect it from the gearbox.
Bend the edges of the locking plates and unscrew the nuts securing the exhaust pipe of the muffler to the exhaust manifold. Then unscrew the bolts securing the clamp of the exhaust pipe of the silencer to the gearbox and the bolts of the pipe to the additional silencer and take the exhaust pipe of the silencer to the engine.
Disconnect the right shock absorber rod from the mounting bracket, unscrew the nut of the shock absorber mounting bolt to the lower arm, remove the bolt and remove the shock absorber.
Loosen the right hub nut and remove the taper bushing.
Place a stand under the right lower arm and, lowering the car, compress the front suspension spring until the upper arm rebound buffer begins to unload. Then install the brackets on the spring and fix the spring in the compressed position.
Remove the three nuts securing the lower ball joint to the lower control arm and remove the bolts.
Raise the car, disconnect the ball joint from the lever, move the hub to the side and remove the tip of the outer drive joint from the hub.
Turn away and remove a bolt of fastening of a cover of the bearing of the internal hinge 22 (see fig. 3-76) right (and then the left) drive to the front suspension cross member.
