Put the car on a lift (above the pit), allowing the front and rear wheels to turn freely on one or both sides of the vehicle.
Park the vehicle securely, release the parking brake, and place the transmission lever in neutral.
Remove the front and rear driveshafts.
Install the clamp A.70025 on the flexible coupling of the intermediate shaft and, turning the shaft, unscrew the nuts of the bolts securing the flexible coupling to the flange of the secondary shaft of the gearbox. Remove mounting bolts. Loosen the nuts securing the hinge to the transfer box flange. Sliding the hinge with the shaft in the direction of the gearbox, remove the hinge pins from the flange holes, and then, turning, remove the intermediate cardan shaft.
Installation of cardan shafts is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the intermediate shaft, grease the flange surface under the centering ring with a thin layer of Fiol-1 or Fiol-2U grease to facilitate installation.
