Airbags

In a variant version, the car is equipped with an airbag for the driver and passenger. The airbag in the steering wheel is designed to delay the driver's head and chest from moving forward in a frontal collision. The airbag is designed to protect passengers in addition to, but not a replacement for, seat belts. Important reasons for using seat belts in a car equipped with airbags:

• Allows you to keep you far enough away from the inflating airbag during hard braking and impact.
• Reduce the risk of injury in side and rear collisions, vehicle rollovers and re-impact in an accident where the airbag does not deploy.
• Reduce the risk of injury in mild frontal collisions that are not severe enough to activate the airbag.
• Reduce the likelihood of a person falling out of the car.

Warning.

• Never place any objects on top of the airbag cover or between you and the airbag. Due to the high inflation rate of the airbag, it may happen that flying objects can cause serious or fatal injury.
• Always fasten your seat belts, even when entering a parking lot or garage. When braking hard, the driver and passenger move forward towards the airbag and may even touch the airbag cover. During a collision, an inflating airbag can cause serious or fatal injury even at low speeds.
• Do not modify the steering wheel or airbags as this may activate the airbag and be dangerous to you. If you have any questions, please contact the dealer who sold you the vehicle.
