Towing a car

To tow your vehicle, attach the cable only to the front or rear eyelets provided for this purpose, see fig. 40. Before towing, set the key in the ignition switch to position I and turn on the light signaling, in accordance with the Rules of the Road. When towing, make sure that the towing cable is constantly taut.

Attention. The vacuum brake booster performs its function only when the engine is running. Therefore, when towing a vehicle with the engine off, depress the brake pedal much harder when braking.

Tow the car smoothly, without jerks and sharp turns.

Attention. The eyelets are only intended for towing the vehicle on public roads with a force not exceeding 50% of the gross vehicle weight, in accordance with EEC Directive 96/64.
