Install rear wheel chocks. Remove caps 1, (see fig. 4-1), hubs 4 and loosen the fastenings of the right and left wheels.
Loosen the adjusting nuts of 2 hubs.
Raise the front of the car, unscrew the nuts, remove the conical bushings 3 and remove the front wheels.
Remove the crankcase skid plate and engine mudguard.
Loosen and unscrew the nut of fastening of the ball pin of the outer tip of the right tie rod, press the ball pin out of the rotary arm.
Unscrew the two nuts, remove the spring washers, cushion holder and disconnect the stabilizer bar from the right lower 14 suspension arm.
Loosen the right shock absorber rod nut, remove the spring washer, cushion washer and upper shock absorber cushion.
Loosen the nut securing the shock absorber to the lower suspension arm bracket, remove the spring washer, remove the bolt and remove the right shock absorber.
Unscrew the nut securing the right brace to the body bracket, remove the flat washer.
Turn away a bolt of fastening of an extension to a suspension bracket cross member, remove a spring washer and an extension.
Install a stand under the lower arm 14 of the front suspension and, lowering the car, compress the suspension spring 13 until the rebound buffer is unloaded.
Unscrew the upper ball pin fastening nut, remove the brake hose clamps from the pin.
Remove the bolt securing the brake guard to the caliper.
Bend the edges of the front protective casing and unscrew the two bolts securing the caliper to the steering knuckle. Remove the caliper and protective cover, suspend the caliper, avoiding tension on the brake hoses.
Unscrew the nut of the lower ball pin, press the ball pins out of the seats in the swivel fist and remove the swivel fist with the hub and the brake disc from the shank of the outer drive joint.
Lock the wheel drive shaft in suspension.
Unscrew the two nuts securing the upper arm axle, remove the spring washers and remove the upper suspension arm with ball joint and axle assembly. When removing the lever, note the number and location of the shims between the axis of the lever and the suspension cross member.
Carefully raise the car, unload the suspension spring 13.
Attention: To avoid personal injury, do not stand in front of the spring during its unloading, removal and installation.
Remove the stand, lower the lower arm as far down as possible and remove the spring with the support cup and gasket.
Loosen the lower arm axle nut, remove the arm axle, remove the thrust outer and inner thrust washers and shims. Remove the lower control arm with pivots assembly. Note the number and location of the shims. When assembling the suspension, install the washers in place.
Follow the above steps to remove the left front suspension.
Remove the four nuts, remove the spring washers and remove the anti-roll bar 23.
Loosen the nuts securing the engine mounts to the suspension cross member brackets.
Install a traverse on the car and hang the engine.
Place a stand under the cross member 18 and lower the vehicle until the stand rests against the cross member.
Unscrew the nut securing the rebound buffer bracket to the upper front suspension spring support, remove the flat and spring washers.
Turn away nuts of fastening of the top support of a spring to a side member of a body, remove flat and spring washers.
Loosen the nuts securing the cross member to the body side member and remove the spring washers.
Remove the adjusting plates 21 located between the side member and the cross member, while noting their number and location. Remove the bolts, rebound bracket and flat washers located between the rebound bracket and side member.
Carry out the above operations for the suspension on the other side of the vehicle. Raise the vehicle until the cross member is free from the engine and body side members and remove the cross member assembly with brackets and spring supports. Perform this operation with an assistant. suspension arms and remove the steering knuckle.
Establish a forward suspension bracket of the car in sequence, return to removal. Wherein:
- adjusting washers and adjusting plates, install in their original places; -springs on the suspension of the car install only one class (Class "A" — without marking or marking with white paint, class "IN" - with black marking on the outer surface of the coils). It is allowed to install class springs "A" on the front suspension, if springs of class "IN";
- make the final tightening of the threaded fasteners of the suspension hinges under a static load on the car with a load of 320 kg;
- tightening torques for threaded connections:
- nuts for fastening the upper spring support and cross member to the side member - 70... 80 Nm (7.0...8.0 kgf·m);
- nuts for fastening the pillows of the engine mounts - 28... 34 Nm (2.8...3.4 kgf·m);
- nuts for fastening the axis of the lower suspension arm - 220... 260 Nm (22.0...26.0 kgf·m);
- nuts for fastening the axle of the upper suspension arm - 70... 80 Nm (7.0...8.0 kgf·m);
- nuts for attaching ball pins to the steering knuckle - 85... 105 Nm (8.5...10.5 kgf·m);
- bolts of the brake caliper to the steering knuckle - 30... 35 Nm (3.0...3.5 kgf·m);
- Bolt for fastening the brace to the suspension cross member - 70... 80 Nm (7.0...8.0 kgf·m);
- nut for fastening the brace to the body - 110... 170 Nm (11.0...17.0 kgf·m);
- nut for fastening the shock absorber to the lower suspension arm - 52... 62 Nm (5.2...6.2 kgf·m); nut of the ball pin of the tie rod end - 44... 54 Nm (4.4...5.4 kgf·m). If the cutout of the nut does not match the hole for the cotter pin, re-tighten to ensure the cotter pin;
- wheel nuts - 85... 95 Nm (8.5...9.5 kgf·m).
Adjust the axial clearances in the front wheel hub bearings following the recommendations set out in subsection «Checking and adjusting the clearance in the front wheel hub bearings».
Check and, if necessary, adjust the angles of the front wheels, following the recommendations outlined in subsection «Checking and adjusting the angles of the front wheels».
