- lift the hood of the car. Loosen the nut and remove the pinch bolt securing the lower end of the intermediate shaft 1 (see fig. 5-2) to the steering screw shaft.
- acting from inside the car, unscrew the nuts and remove the steering gear seal;
- remove facing covers 4 (see fig. 5-2) and 10 steering shaft;
- disconnect plug-in blocks of wires of switches, the ignition switch;
- unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the steering shaft bracket and remove it complete with shafts 1, 7 and steering wheel 6, pulling them into the passenger compartment.

Install the steering in the reverse order of removal.
