Puller (pic. 6-19) remove the brake drum. Disconnect from lever 18 (see fig. 6-18) hand drive shoe end of the cable, remove the cotter pin, press the pin 21 and remove the lever. Disconnect the upper 2 and lower 7 coupling springs with pliers.

Having turned the cups of the support legs 17, remove them together with the racks, springs and lower cups; remove the pads 8 and 16 and the spacer bar 20. Disconnect the pipeline from the wheel cylinder 1 and plug the inlets of the cylinder and pipeline. Remove the wheel cylinder. When replacing the brake shield 4, remove the axle shaft, as indicated in section «rear axle», and disconnect the rear cable 13 by unscrewing the two bolts of its fastening to the brake shield 4.
